Fun Fact Friday: Baseball Uniforms
Hey all you Sea Spray fans, it's finally Friday, and that means that another fun fact is heading your way! This week, in honor of the return of baseball (and Jake Arrieta's no-hitter last nigh), we have a little something on the baseball uniform. Did you know that the baseball uniform was first put into play in 1849? The Knickerbocker Base Ball Club of New York wore blue woolen pants, a white flannel shirt, and straw hats for their 1849 season, only 4 years after their first season as a baseball club. Over the next 160 years, the uniform would evolve countless times, bringing in numerous trends that are still relevant in baseball today (knee-high socks, jersey patches, lettering, etc.). No matter what baseball trend appeals to you, just know that you can bring in any baseball apparel you have to us to get them wash and/or tailored. With free pickup and delivery, it's absolutely a steal (pun intended)!
